DJ Sir Uso is one of the St. Louis Metro Area's most versatile and experienced entertainers, providing professional DJ services for weddings, receptions, corporate events, community celebrations, private parties, school functions, karaoke events, luau-themed gatherings, and cultural festivals throughout St. Louis and the Metro East.
With more than 15 years of experience, DJ Sir Uso specializes in creating unforgettable experiences that connect generations through music. His extensive library includes oldies hits from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, classic rock and pop from the 1980s, funk, soul, disco, Chicago house, country, line dance favorites, and expertly mixed hip-hop and R&B from every era. His ability to read a crowd and seamlessly blend genres keeps dance floors energized and guests engaged all night long.
Known as the St. Louis area's premier Pacific Islander DJ, Sir Uso also brings authentic Polynesian and island music to luaus, cultural celebrations, and community events. His unique cultural perspective and broad musical knowledge allow him to create inclusive experiences that appeal to diverse audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Beyond entertainment, Sir Uso is an educator and entrepreneur. He serves as a Samoan language instructor for TalofaTalk.com and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), helping preserve and promote the Samoan language and culture. He also serves as a business instructor for a nonprofit organization, and is a skilled full-stack development engineer.

William "Viliamu" Fanene didn't set out to become a language teacher. He learned Samoan himself in his early 30s and discovered that vocabulary was never the real barrier — understanding how Samoan sentences were actually structured was. That breakthrough became Talofa Talk, the sentence-structure-first learning method he now teaches to students worldwide, including through an eight-week Samoan 101 course at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville — one of only a handful of university-affiliated Samoan language courses in the United States.
He's also the founder of Pasifika Pages, an online hub for Pacific Islander language, culture, and community.
Outside the classroom, William is an active content creator, sharing Samoan language lessons, storytime, and everyday life as @viliamufanene on TikTok, where his following spans hundreds of thousands of viewers. He's also the subject of the personal documentary Nameless, streaming on Amazon Prime Video — a look at his own story beyond the DJ booth and the classroom.
